Yoga therapy
New yoga class and one-to-one yoga therapy sessions beginning in September
Yoga therapy is very different to yoga. Usually offered on a one-to-one basis, yoga therapy is a whole mind-body-soul therapy which uses yoga techniques, in a medicinal way, to help people improve their health and manage illness symptoms.
With a 20 year career in mental health, I specialise in yoga therapy for mental health including stress & anxiety, trauma & PTSD, FND, insomnia, bereavement, but I have also worked with a range of physical conditions such as Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, chronic pain, IBS, stroke, cancer recovery.
Yoga therapy has its roots in ancient philosophy, but now has an extensive body of modern day research showing it can be as powerful, if not more so, than many other mainline treatments and medications. Yoga has such a wide impact on the physiology of the body and brain, there is no known body system it doesn’t affect.
I will be offering one-to-one yoga therapy sessions on Waterloo Court on a Monday morning.
If you would like to know more about yoga therapy, have any questions, or would like to book some sessions please do visit my website which has further information and my contact details:
